Invictus Games
Case Study
In September 2014, the inaugural Invictus Games was held at The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. This event was the brainchild of Prince Harry, giving injured service men and women the opportunity to compete in sport on an international scale. Members from 12 different countries took part in cycling, sitting volleyball, archery and many other sporting activities.
For this event, identilam provided a full online accreditation and badging solution for all competitors, staff, media, VIPs, volunteers, contractors and support staff. Our web-based solution was utilised for accreditation applications and Badge&Print for management of accredited data and printing of photo badges.
After consultation with the client an online application system was set up and hosted by identilam to an agreed specification. This enabled everyone involved in the event to register their details and apply for accreditation. Authorised users then approved or declined the applications online, with all approved data and images sent automatically to identilam for printing at our secure production facility in Horsham. Throughout the whole application process, registrants were able to log onto the web page to check the progress of their application and were notified when it had been accepted.
For the duration of the event we provided five badge stations and operators at various locations around the site to produce accreditation passes for late registrants and amendments. Each local system synched with the web hosted system to enable online applications to continue to be made throughout the tournament.
Post event, we produced a comprehensive management report for the client outlining all the information they needed such as the total number of passes produced and the quantity of passes printed for each category.
A high quality lanyard, branded with the key sponsors’ logos was also produced by identilam to enable the accreditation passes to be worn at the event.
This was a fantastic event which we thoroughly enjoyed being a part of and it was great to receive such fantastic feedback from our service.
